I am a Seattle-based artist, designer, crafter, writer and bibliophile. By day, I am a graphic designer and web designer (Companion Publishing Services). I am a graduate of George Mason University and the Art Institute of Seattle.
As an artist, I work in a variety of media including pen and ink, fabric and thread, photography, and, of course, Illustrator and Photoshop on my well-loved Mac. You can view some of my more interesting photographs in the header of this website.
I have always been an avid crafter following in the footsteps of my mother who was extremely talented in a variety of crafts. I relish learning new skills and find myself starting more projects than I can finish. I enjoy many different crafts including crochet, knitting, embroidery, scrapbooking, quilting, and sewing. Having always modified craft patterns to suit my needs, recently I’ve started designing my own patterns.
I am a voracious reader and am never far away from an interesting read. I always have a stack of books near my bed waiting to be read. I love books but try to borrow more than I collect, keeping only reference/non-fiction and well-loved fiction that I may read again.
I also have unfathomable fascinations with penguins, Antarctica, palm trees, gingerbread men, bears, the Muppets, Harry Potter, Yoshi, Winnie the Pooh, and thought-provoking quotes. You may find these creeping into my posts and projects.
